Rating as one of the most diverse communities in the Northwest, White Center is home to many different cultures and is a popular spot for Boeing employees. This diverse town has become a social hub over the years with many local restaurants, bars, activities, and shopping centers opening up. Due to it’s rather central location, White Center has recently seen plenty of new development influenced by the influx of professional workers looking to live near Seattle/Tacoma/Sea-Tac Airport.

White Center is the birthplace of Seattle’s Rat City Rollergirls.

Did you know the naming was left up to a coin toss? The two major founders Hiram Green & George White had a coin toss to determine whose last name would precede Center in the name. The coin toss resulted in White winning which led to the name White Center.
